What is MWL?
I share lots of my recipes on the McDougall forums, but I wanted a place to keep all my MWL-friendly recipes, so here it is. While I believe every recipe here will conform to MWL guidelines, this site is not run or endorsed by Dr. McDougall or his staff, and any errors are mine alone.

These are the guidelines I will follow in all recipes on this site:
- No animal products (meat, fish, poultry, dairy, eggs, or honey)
- No oil of any kind
- No high-fat plant foods (avocados, olives, coconut, nuts, seeds, soybeans)
- No flour or flour products (bread, pasta)
- Plenty of starches -- potatoes, sweet potatoes, whole grains, legumes
- Plenty of vegetables -- Dr. McDougall recommends making "green and yellow vegetables" 1/3 to 1/2 of each plate by sight
- Be sparing with fruit (no more than 2 servings a day) and very sparing with sugar (I will not use more than a teaspoon or so per recipe)
- No fruit juice, fruit puree, or dried fruit (there will be no smoothie recipes on this site)
